RM FindRefs

Find references before you delete, reuse, or change something in your RPG Maker MV/MZ project.

RM FindRefs is a local, read-only reference finder for RPG Maker MV and MZ.

Choose your project’s data/ folder, select a reference type, and search by name or ID. RM FindRefs shows where that switch, variable, item, actor, skill, common event, map, and other supported database entries are referenced.

How to use

1. Extract the ZIP
2. Open RM-FindRefs.html in a modern desktop browser
3. Choose your RPG Maker MV/MZ project or data/ folder
4. Choose what you want to find
5. Enter a name or ID
6. Click Find References

A DemoProject is included so you can try the tool before scanning your own project.

Important

Static analysis cannot prove that every dynamically generated script or plugin reference exists or does not exist. A result of zero references is not an absolute guarantee that no runtime-generated reference exists.
